Singapore ยท Marina Bay
Marina Bay
Marina Bay is Singapore's showpiece: the skyline, the waterfront promenade, the integrated resort and convention centre, the financial towers of Marina Bay Financial Centre, and Gardens by the Bay. It is where many brands launch products, host conferences and shoot campaigns. I serve clients in Singapore, and around Marina Bay my work centres on productions, launches and the press that follows them.
The local business landscape
The area mixes finance and corporate offices with hospitality, retail, attractions and one of Asia's busiest calendars of conferences, exhibitions and major events. That creates two kinds of client needs: companies that want to be seen here (launches, events, campaign shoots) and businesses that serve the visitors who come here (hotels, restaurants, attractions, event suppliers) and need to answer enquiries at scale.
How my services apply
- Shoot production: skyline and waterfront shoots are popular and tightly managed. Most venues, malls and attractions have their own filming policies and fees, public spaces can require permission, and drone flights in this central area are heavily restricted. I plan large and small productions around those approvals, the weather and crowd timing, from small sets to crews of more than 50 people.
- PR and press: a launch here only becomes news if the story is stronger than the venue. I help find the angle and prepare visuals that make it easy for editors to say yes.
- AI email and phone automation for hospitality and event businesses, where enquiries spike before big events and need fast, accurate answers about availability, access and timings.
Practical notes
- Schedule outdoor shots at sunrise: soft light, fewer people and less chance of an afternoon storm.
- Major events change road access and venue availability for weeks around them. Check the event calendar before you lock dates.
- Have a covered backup within walking distance; the bay has plenty, but book it.
- My guide to planning a large shoot in Singapore covers permits, drones, heat and call sheets.
